Zeitz MoCAA 2017

Cape Town, South Africa

Architect: Heatherwick Studio

The Zeitz Museum of Contemporary Art Africa is housed in a building made up of circular grain silos. Heatherwick Studio sliced through these, using a found piece of corn as the template (massively increased in size!) and in so doing created a sumptuous gothic atrium to attract people in to the gallery. Read our review of the project, published in Blueprint 355, here.
