V&A Museum Exhibition Road Quarter 2017

London, England Architect: Amanda Levete Architects

Daniel Libeskind’s dramatic extension was originally going to be built on the site and enabling works had begun before it was scrapped in 2004 amid much public hoo-ha. 2017 saw the area open as the Exhibition Road Quarter, with a very different brief, which has created a major new entrance for the museum and very importantly, beneath the square, a massive new column free exhibition space, able to house major new exhibitions and travelling blockbuster shows.
