Melnikov House 1929

Moscow, Russia

Architect: Konstantin Melnikov

Hidden down a Moscow backstreet, this rendered brick building is made up of two intersecting cylinders with a flat front façade. The avant-garde building was designed by artist and architect Konstantin Melnikov as his own home and included Melnikov’s 50 sq m workshop on the top floor. The garden contains a model of the building and one of our VR images takes you inside that model to get a feel of the house’s interior — then turn around to see the actual building behind you.
